The Florida Residential exam lives here, and the Unlimited exam draws on it heavily. The 2023 edition rewrote the kitchen countertop rules (210.52(C)) — island and peninsular receptacles are no longer required, but provisions for a future receptacle are. Written from the 2023 text.
1. Which receptacles count — 210.52 lead-in
The 15 A / 20 A, 125 V receptacles required by 210.52 are in addition to any receptacle that is: (1) part of a luminaire or appliance; (2) controlled by a wall switch or listed wall-mounted control device under 210.70(A)(1) Exception 1 (i.e. the switched receptacle that substitutes for a lighting outlet); (3) inside cabinets or cupboards; (4) more than 5½ ft above the floor.
A permanently installed baseboard heater with a factory receptacle may serve as the required receptacle for its wall space — but that receptacle may not be on the heater circuit.
